Sometimes my mind kinda goes blank and I sit very still and stare into space for like ten minutes or longer. Sometimes hours. Then something snaps and I can move again

I call it spacing out, maybe depersonalization.

For me it feels like catatonia. I get it more severely after smoking THC weed. I don’t get it on meds. I get it off meds too.

I don’t mean you might have catatonia, don’t want to scare you, I was just talking about myself, off meds or when using thc I freeze motionless for 20min don’t respond to stimuli with blank mind, its horrible feels like i am dead. Thankully risperidone fixed it so I think its sz related. I read catatonia can happen in schizophrenia.

I was also going to use the word catatonia, though as @Aziz said, that’s only what I describe it as when it happens to me.
Other words that come to mind are dissociating, depersonlizing, and derealization.
