In patients with schizophrenia which is the best medication to manage symptomatically, and is there a role first generation anti psychotics in the treatment, or rather are only second generation anti psychotics preferred?

it varies by patient. I’m on second generation and first generation anti psychotics. they work well for me some side effects.
It’s Russian roulette really. One med may be one person’s saviour and the same med may nearly kill another person. Atypicals are generally tried first.
