What is the average amount of zyprexa?

I am on 10mg. I’m wondering if that’s a high dose? Could I go up if I need to?

I’m on 20mg which I see cited as the max

I’m on 20 mg a day

I’m also on 10. Anything lower doesn’t work for me. I’ve never tried higher.

The average is 10 mgs, yes. Below is just a maintaining dose. You could go up till 20 mgs if you feel the need  I know people on 20 mgs who even didn’t put weight on this dose, but its not my case… But well, I am quite different than the other people with the meds, maybe cause I have a bunch of negatives…

I don’t know what the average amount is, but I’ve been on 1/2 of a 2.5 mg tablet since 1997, except for last year when i stopped taking it . To make a long story short, it didn’t go well.

I was on 40mg for 8 years, did nothing to help but put on 100+ pounds in a year. I stopped all meds in March, am down to 147 lbs, from 246 in March. No change in diet or exercise, just got the ■■■■ off that useless drug. My bipolar 16 year old was on 20mg for 5 years, we went down to 15mg a few months back, weight is coming off. He also decided no more ritalin, so he’s trying to go off all meds. We,'re gonna beat this as we’re both treatment resistant MI, documented in med files, so procs are letting us dictate our choices.

I was on 10. Then lower.

I was on 20mg for two years and put on 35 kilos.

10 is the magic number for me. My psychiatrist tried 20 and I reacted badly to it so I went back to 10.

My pdoc told me on Wednesday that the highest recommended dose is 20 mg but some doctors go as high as 30 mg. There is room for you to safely go up if necessary.

I was on 10 mg, but am now taking 7.5 mg as a maintenance dose.

I was also on 10mg but reduced it to 5mg as a maintenance dose.

10 mg is the average zyprexa
