What I have learned so far as a psych major

The music you most often listen to while alone is who you really are similar to. Your true self. I was actually told this by a professor, I am not making this up.

So I sometimes like am this guy, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, basically irate or miserable

and sometimes I feel like this guy, Jack White of The White Stripes, passionate, but both in positive and negative emotions. Some of The White Stripes lesser known tracks are actually pretty dark and gritty, while the hits (save for Seven Nation Army and The Hardest Button to Button) are mostly joyful and full of libido (Blue Orchid, Ball and Biscuit, Fell in Love With a Girl are all sexually charged, the tempo is without a doubt the tempo of fit people having sex if you ask me) LOL

Seven Nation Army is dark and violent, it’s not happy but is one of the band’s biggest hits.

Notice the colors. My colors. Slipknot members dress in only red, black and white, so do The White Stripes- as do I, save for a green or purple shirt every once in a while when I feel like I am not in a red, white, and black mood that day. Today was a white t-shirt with a black tree on it, red cargo shorts, black skull and crossbones socks and black and white high top chucks. One of my favorite outfits.

This is quite interesting. I always tend to listen to some sub-genre of Metal.

Just to name a few. I really did fight piranhas, i was all alone.

@mortimermouse do you think it’s possible to change who you are?i am always listening to this guy dong,if I delete all his song and tries to change to other people song, can I be more like the person I wanted to be?

When I listen often love music, does this mean I am looking for love or I am loveable, don’t know?

Can I just put this here for no reason? I think it’s clean. Yeah? Okay cool.

Sometimes I feel that I have been punished without me having done anything, which is why I like this love song.

At this point in time, there’s nothing I really can pick as one genre of music that I listen to most, let alone a particular group. Maybe it’s a sign I’m going through a transitional period.

When I’m happy I put on happy music. When I am down I play happy music. Happy music can be anything from Motorhead to Elton John.

@mortimermouse - I believe you that you didn’t make that up…but what if the professor did?

^Occupation really is a favorite song of mine…but sometimes I’m feeling something more like this:

my taste in music varies like the seasons…

these days ive been listening to a lot of this…

ticking away, the moments that make up a dull day.

My problem may be that I have tried to find real love in my life, but I have never been successful.

Dubstep does it for me.

Whern I am choosing a color to wear, it makes a big difference to me whether the red is a blue based red or a yellow based red.

Look at little children. The boys tend to be attracted to yellow based reds whereas the girls tend to be attracted to blue based reds. But because of my coloring, I look better in yellow based reds.

You’ve got a good look about you @Jayster. You could easily be seen as a businessman or pastor. Granted I’ve only seen that pic that you use as an avatar, but you seem pretty distinguished. Me, not so much.

Thank you, @Malvok! It is nice to read what you wrote about me!

I can remember the first “time” i heard that song.

I was working at a shaved ice place as a teenager.

The sadness it induced was strong.
