I would probably be in Mecca with either people thinking I’m a prophet. Or people thinking Im crazy. Or people thinking Im dead (because I would be).

I think psychosis would ravage your mind and your mental health would deteriorate.

Probably…but i think in Switzerland they take a different approach and put mi in a retreat to recover with minimal meds. I read it before this AI business and now google wont let me see

The mind doesn’t heal itself, synapses (electrical connectors in the body and brain) are firing wrong or chemically reacting wrong. Without the meds; we’d be “insane”

basically all throughout history any time before 1950 there were no meds for sz. i cant imagine the suffering endured and even families and healthcare workers when there was no medication. theyd literally resorted to sticking sharp tools through the nose all the way to the brain to sever the frontal lobe, which seems pretty evil and idk how medical people saw it as a normal procedure

Are you talking about Soteria House? I was in it for a year in 1980-81. They believed that they could help schizophrenics recover without medication or hospitalization and they claimed a higher success rate the way they did it but that is disputed. By the way, it didn’t help me, maybe if I had been on medication sooner instead of spending a year unmedicated at Soteria my recovery might have been much better right now.

Part of the reason it was used is because it actually helped some people but made many people vegetables. I think they stuck something through the eye.

I personally would be much better off. I have very minor symptoms of bipolar and the meds have caused me more harm than good.
