what do you do when the meds don’t work

You keep asking and I keep giving you the same answer. Just because 3 meds didn’t work doesn’t mean one of the others won’t.

I’ve been on meds for years. My haldol used to work but now it doesn’t. My np wanted to raise it up But I couldnt bc my heart races. But I imagine if you raise your dose it may help.

I would do it if it meant getting off meds

You go to your pdoc and you say, “Listen here, the meds aren’t working! Let’s try something else, maybe multiple AP’s?” Or, if it’s depression, you say, “How about a mood stabilizer?” “Or, ECT?”
