I know schizophrenia is a very popular subject among philosophers of the mind, especially phenomenologist. Our experiences can tell people something about how the mind works in general.

I wish there was a way to let them see the world through our eyes, especially when we are struggling with our symptoms. Maybe a helmet that could simulate our experiences for an hour. I think that would make them appreciate their lives more and become more compassionate people. That’s the most important lesson they can learn from us. They don’t realize how lucky they are.

They can learn the proper way to make tinfoil hats. It is an art form in itself.

Jk!

I think they can learn that the brain can both protect and betray a person.

Imho.

Funny how everybody knows that, but they do not really pay attention.

@Aimingatremission that’s a powerfull proposition. Maybe could be used in schools as drug and brain prevention .

Well,

I wish Hollywood would learn that DID is not the same as SZ. Peeves me when they interchange them.

And these actors are usually playing therapists or doctors.

Over the years, they have learned a lot. They have learned cultural icons. Understandings of beliefs. And more so. They’re only illness. The inability to serve others. With quality care and professionalism. Exceeding from stigmata. You’re not conquered. By humanity itself.
