What calms your triggers/episode and psychosis?

What keeps you calm when feeling paranoid or having an episode? Right now I’m really paranoid and the only thing keeping me calm is music.

Blast music in my headphones.
Posting on forums about different things.
Focusing on my breathing by meditating using this video. It helped me alot when i first started hearing voices or getting paranoid.

Other people are really the only thing that can snap me out of paranoia. People help to ground me. Also when I get scared and I’m sleeping at my boyfriend’s I can just snuggle with him and everything is instantly better…though to be honest my illness really isn’t an issue anymore now with the meds I’m on.

Also having the TV on or radio would help too, that sound of human voices and something else to focus on. Really an important way of coping with psychotic symptoms is just learning how to distract yourself until they pass.

Music, definitely. Otherwise, I talk to my friends about how I am feeling.
I don’t have voices anymore, but I have severe paranoid thoughts. I also have the two balls of fluff (aka dogs) around, which helps me to ground myself more.
