What are these?

Well, chat gpt doesn’t think they are panic attacks. Since panic attacks last for like 30 minutes or so.

What happens for me lasts for hours and hours, like 6-7 hours.

I get heart palpitations, my hand and the body shake, I become very aware of my surroundings (attention/focus improves). Then I get psychotic symptoms. The voices slightly, but they form a loop with the heart palpitations as fear increases.

Note that I have no symptoms outside of these attacks. I get them maybe once or twice in 2 weeks. But, chat gpt agrees it could be related to withdrawing from Klonopin too fast.
My pdoc has no clue I think regarding this stuff, and chat gpt also admits my experiences are very unique. Would anyone know what really is this?

Not true in my experience. For me, sometimes panic attacks can last hours to days.

I see. So, you get psychotic symptoms as well, during the attacks?

I confirmed with chat gpt, unless it is a panic attack which is trigerring another panic attack, they usually last between 15-45 minutes.

Then there are psychotic symptoms that I get which are usually not present in panic attacks.

Isn’t this minor relapses?

When i quit Ativan cold turkey i had panic attack after panic attack for about a week and then they slowly eased over the second week. It could be benzo withdrawal. I couldn’t even drive for the first week cuz of the shaking hands and heart palpitations. I’ve been off of them for 3 months and haven’t had a panic attack since…

But there are some overlapping symptoms of anxiety, such as, heart palpitations, hands shaking, etc…and it starts with heart palpitations, then I gradually get psychotic symptoms, which worsen anxiety.

My episodes usually have anxiety before full blown episodes, including the minor ones. I’m pretty sure anxiety is still a form of stress and it can be a symptom of psychosis

But, I am working and symptom free otherwise.

These sound like episodic to me rather than persistent psychosis.

I also don’t use Valium which my pdoc gave me for these “attacks”.

I tried many medications, including beta blockers, Buspirone, Pregablin, etc for these attacks but to no avail.

I took Klonopin for 7 years, 3 mg daily. Then, when I got off from it 4 years ago, for years I had withdrawal effects (I think these attacks are related to that too). I don’t want to take a benzo ever again, so I don’t take the Valium.

Very quickly. 15-30 days. My pdoc tapered me very, very fast. As a result, I have had loads of withdrawal effects for many years.

That definitely didn’t help things. Your past it now but I would have recommended a slow taper. I would start treating what you’re dealing with like an anxiety disorder in terms of the techniques you use to get past it.

I have pretty severe anxiety attacks along with GAD and OCD. I don’t think I’ve ever had a panic. I’m sure there not as intense as a panic attack but they can last for what feels like days. For me anxiety and psychosis are so closely intermingled it’s hard to tell the difference.

I also take Gabapentin for anxiety, works pretty well, except in the morning’s where my anxiety is the worst. I also take metropolol which is a beta blocker and when that kicks in my anxiety is controlled.
