Went out today - spoke to pub owner

Some of you may remember I fell out with the local pub owner. He thought I was sponging benefits

Anyway I just found out the local bus service is stopping meaning I have no way to leave the village - I sometimes went into town. These events forced me to find other ways to spend my time.

So I went into the pub and cleared the air with the landlord. He said there is absolutely no problem in going in and buying a can of juice and sitting there for a few hours. He knows my family and now knows my dx so is sympathetic.

This act of reconciliation has pleased me. I now have somewhere to go where I might find someone to speak to. Isolation is so bad for me.

Thanks for reading,

James

You handled that a lot better than I would have, that’s for sure. Well done.

How much is a taxi to the town centre, is it far?

Is there any other way of getting out of the village and going somewhere? Train maybe? How much would a taxi cost if you were to treat yourself?

Edit: @seriouslydisturbed beat me to it!

Is £5 to get a taxi to the nearest town. I can get a bus to the city from there - have a bus pass.

Then of course I would have to get a taxi back so £10 overall to get out of the village (adds up to quite a lot).

That works out around $15 for my transatlantic friends :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Do you like the musician Donovan? He’s from Scotland . I think he’s real good

Never heard him. He was like a folky sort of music?

Rock and roll I’d call it

They called him the British bob Dylan but I don’t think they were anything alike
