My in-laws had the nerve to say my dad never had tuberculosis when I was a kid. The TB screwed up my dad’s lungs, smoking did too. she claims he would have had to go to special hospitals for years and it’s highly contagious.
We lived in a trailer with him and had to hide when the nurse would come to check and collect cups of mucus to test nearly every day.
They ran a TB test and I had a allergic reaction to it when I was a kid
The more I hear about your in-laws, the more I dislike them. I’m sorry you have to live with that.

This cant be good for your overall health and well being.
I don’t know anything about TB but my Dad was diagnosed with emphysema or what is now COPD about 15 or 20 years ago and he quit smoking and has gotten better. Your lungs can rebuild themselves. I hope he is okay.
