Weird question for anyone who might know

When I used to walk from the residential care facility to day treatment I would pass this house that had a five pointed star inside a circle displayed on his front porch. Then the guy across the street displayed a five pointed star on his front porch. When we drove by those houses today, two more houses and a church had a five pointed star displayed conspicuously on their buildings. Does anyone know what this five pointed star is supposed to signify?

A lot of people in rural areas put a star on their barns and houses because they think it’s pretty. Like those weird quilt things.

If you Google image search house with star you’ll get a ton of pictures.

It’s the whole country chic thing.

Yeah, we get a lot of those around here, too. I call them barn stars. They’re a trendy down-home, all-American, we’re-fine-country-folk sort of decorating thing.

is it the star of David? idk

Sounds like a pentagram, but it might not have been placed with pagan intent.

It may not be a barn star decoration. But here is my barn decoration.
