For the rich, money is a battle. For the poor, money is a battle. It’s nice when it doesn’t have to be an obsessive issue.
We need an intelligent left of centre middle class that isn’t greedy and selfish rather than an unintelligent right of centre middle class that is.

There will always be exceptions, but a world built on right wing greed and selfishness is not a healthy and intelligent one.
Of course not all with right of centre economic views are greedy and selfish and social barbarians but many are.
We on the right generally wish to encourage self-sufficiency and see all become successful so we can share in and build upon each others’ successes (financial and personal freedom for as many as possible). That’s greed? That’s unintelligent?

The current right wing mentality,at least here in the UK, is to further line the pockets of the rich,especially the ultra rich, while attacking and abusing the disadvantaged and disabled.
That can certainly be called greedy,selfish and socially barbaric.
Nothing wrong with encouraging self sufficiency but in an intelligent and civilised society it has to stop well short of sociopathic attacks against society’s most vulnerable.
Not all can aspire to the American/British/Canadian dream and those that can’t need to be protected and not targeted for more and more abuse.

Perhaps in the future you should qualify your remarks so that you aren’t denigrating large swaths of the population? It would be the intelligent thing to do.
Many more could than currently do. You know what the biggest factor was in my recovery? My right-wing values that you hold in contempt.

skill and respect, are no school related, for some middle class schools, there for expect the worse out come. in more poor people. there are less funding in arts then when I was in school. and job training was a part of school too.
I readily acknowledge you have accomplished more than me. Whether that is enough to warrant bragging rights or whether intelligence is the sole, contributory factor is another matter entirely.
I can respect your accomplishments without buying into your political philosophy.

I’m taking online class right now on sociology, and learning about Conflict Theory,
there has to always be rich and poor, disabled and well, educated and not,
otherwise you create this homogenous state that in turn creates a standard,
a leveling in which no one needs to try, or achieve, or make a difference by sharing their stories.

When I went to Washington they had a strong middle class…every1 had a college degree there was no one driving beamers and Mercedes. But everyone lived comfortably. Everyone seemed happy there. A liberal paradise…and I’m conservative in terms of I don’t believe in govt intervention on the national level…but liberal in terms of the state I wanna live In.
Here in ct we have no middle class…everyone is miserable … The poor people are bitter because they’re surrounded by richies and the price of living is so high making it tough for them to live. Meanwhile the rich ppl are unhappy too because there’s so much animosity towards them and well mo money= mo problems and other reasons
No wonder I wanna move from this miserable region.
