the ap was made in the 1950s the ap’s for psychosis, i didnt take any because, i wanted a sleeping tablet not another ap
Do you mean the particular ap he/she prescribed was formulated in the 1950s?
My anti-psychotic helps me sleep. If I miss a dose I find falling asleep difficult.
my zyprexa makes me sleep most of the time…all i wanted was a zimovane 7.5 sleeping tablet…not another AP made in the 50s
Talk to your doctor about it - we aren’t experts here. Sleeping pills all have issues with them - they don’t really give you natural sleep, so you don’t feel as rested.
What was his rationale? Did you ask him why he gave you an AP rather than an AP?
i took seeping tablets before in hospital they worked with no side effects…i was not taking another AP just because of sleep problems once in a blue moon
the AP i take zyprexa is the only one that suits me
Many sleep medications are based on benzodiazapines - which are addictive. That may be why they didn’t want to prescribe them.
My mom was prescribed an anti psychotic to help her sleep. She takes an anti depressant and an anxiety med. She’s in chronic pain so she given seraquel. She said sometimes it works other times I doesn’t it varies. oh my mom has major depression.
They gave my mother seroquel for sleep when she was ill in bed. I’ve wished too late we’d not allowed her to take it. It zombied her out with mental side effects - the kind we get when we’re taking too much AP’s. She was half unaware through the last few months of her llfe. My brother said they do that to lots of old people. Also other people they don’t want to have to deal with. ‘Hey, it’s someone else - not me.’
