Especially as a child.
No but I was called attention seeking. I mean it’s true but it still hurts lol
I was called “disruptive” early on until I became mousy when puberty hit.
I was called: odd, strange, weird, etc…etc… as a child and adolescent. Now, I’m called eccentric.
I was called “shy.” Now I’m called “antisocial.”
I laughed out loud at that.
I was called manipulative, attention seeking, liar, imaginative, etc.
I’m sorry for you, @LED. That must have been hard.
I was called shy, then gregarious, now shy and imaginative.
No its never had that stigma nor does cancer lukemia, parkinson, or any other illness. But we live in a world where we label diseases based on our lack of knowledge and how we feel about them. Tired or negative connotations sourounding mental health. Im not going to hold my head down another day. And the next man that wants me got to earn me and meet my expectations along with dealing understamding excepting my illness.
On a more serious note I was called stupid, manipulative, annoying, over sensitive, whiny, obnoxious, useless, lazy, disruptive, conniving, unruly, disrespectful.
My least favorite was manipulative, cause im not but my abusive therapist told my parents that I was because of my “conditions”. I hate that word.
I was called a whiny baby growing up. And little girl by some sexist sargeant in the military.
I hope you don’t have to see that abusive psychiatrist again Noise.
Cici2 and who ever else served in the military thank you for your service.
No I shouldn’t have to see her ever again. Unless I press charges.
But I never have to see her as my doctor again. She hasn’t been my doc since I was a teenager. I’m safe now.
Good to hear that you’re safe. It sucks falling prey to someone that takes your care into their hands.
