My voices have repeated things so many times I’m mesmerized into believing them. “You’re not there”, he’d say. He said it countless times over three decades. It sort of knocked me out till I didn’t believe in my own existence. Other things he says, “I’ll get it back”, and “You made a monkey out of me”. I was under a spell most of my life and it’s finally broken. I swear I don’t want to get so lonely I resurrect my tormentor. It had gotten to be too much.
