So I need a new phone and thought I might as well buy one that’s good enough to do VR(Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge), going to get it in a week probably. Anybody here tried it, VR I mean? If so, have any of your symptoms flared up after playing a game? I find the concept fascinating. I find if I play a game and if I get really into it and it’s a game I’m not familiar with I sometimes hallucinate visually about the game later. I wouldn’t be playing violent games, I don’t even play them on my computer/xbox ever. People who say violent video games don’t desensitize you to violence are wrong imo. I think those things could be really dangerous(especially for kids), the immersion it creates is nothing like with a monitor/TV, and they’re only getting better. I don’t mean just being violent towards others: jumping off cliffs/buildings trying to fly, racing a car, etc. Somebody who’s delusional and has spent a lot of time in VR could also get VR and RL mixed up.
Don’t know about the phone, but right now I’m really into this anime series on Netflix that is about virtual reality. Even if you’re not into anime, it’s a good watch for virtual reality fans.
Don’t play adult games using VR. You will die for happiness.
My mate has an s7 and the vrgear. Says it’s a bit pixilated and the frame rate drops when you go look around. I agree with you about some games such as grand theft auto etc can be a pretty bad influence on people.
