I purchased bo6 friday. It’s pretty fun. One YouTube guy said it’s the most hectic cod. I’ve been getting good k/d ratios though. I play it on my computer. I also purchased my nephew the game for early Christmas. He stayed over the weekend. At one point there were five of us- me, my nephew and three of his friends playing matches. Here’s a pic.
I just reinstalled it because I remember about 6 years ago I played the first two to completion, which is really rare for me nowadays, but attests to how good the games are, I’ve forgotten most of it but since I have the trilogy it won’t hurt to revisit then shadow will be completely new experience
I assume nobody plays splatoon on this forum?
I also have to ask out of curiosity if anyone plays Kriegsspiel online or in person?
Since my gaming experience is mostly in the closet, I wonder if there is any advice to be had on competitive shooters or multiplayer online games?
I want to go back to splatoon in the future, but I have no idea what a online gaming community looks like. I could imagine, but I might not want to.
Any practical advice on competitive gaming?
No man’s sky - cursed expedition: I am cursed with mental instability and must keep making sanity potions so boundary horrors stop ganging up on me. a whole expedition like this, yeesh. had to drop it. it’s like permanent 5 stars in gta but with drug addiction and fast withdrawal symptoms
I was never in competitive games or tournaments but I’ve played a lot of multiplayer games.
If there is a single player story campaign, play that first so U can get a hand on the controls.
Don’t overexert yourself. You’ll play better if U take breaks and not play long.
That’s honestly it lol.
Depends on the game.
I have played Splatoon before, so I know what I am doing, as long as my mind is coherent, this is a game where it is very easy to lose your attention span.
(If only I could mute the battle music or replace it… hopes and dreams.)
That is good general advice for people to follow.
As for a gaming community, I would assume it would be something similar to this:
“You do not rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your habits” (James Clear)
More disciplined people ?=? higher maturity in a community. At least that is my guess, I suppose the obvious and inevitable thing is to find out first-hand. I have an idea of where to go, so I will try when I go back to playing the game, eventually.
Not necessarily true about video games lol.
There’s 13 year olds playing GTA V who are just completely toxic to the GTA community.
But it applies for all ages.
Yeah Street Fighter 6 requires lots of discipline but has some of the most immature players you’ll ever meet lol
How is red dead 1? Considering getting it for the switch.
I loved 2 for ps5 never played 1
It’s good, get it.
I freaking love red dead 1
never played 2 but I can say from first hand experience that red dead 1 is amazing
consider getting the dlc, or a version that comes with it. it’s awesome!
Awesome! Super looking forward to it!
Thanks guys!
I was blown away by red dead 2, completely changed my mind about it. Never played the first one though, but if you say it’s good I’m gonna try it.
Most my time goes on gran Turismo, that’s a favourite hobby of mine, just chillax and drive lol
I generally think of Asian monks when it comes to discipline, so I wouldn’t consider a brat who has it easy in la-la land (with nothing to challenge them) to be disciplined.
My assumption was that people who have to be disciplined to succeed in competitive play, are more likely of a higher maturity. That doesn’t mean adults, but at least communication is possible with someone who is a conscious human being.
But I have to consider it a children’s game after all. 20 somethings like myself are hopefully not the main player base (might be for all I know).
I can zone out the aesthetics/music so the game itself does not bother me much in terms of immature content, but I still remember 13 years olds from my school days, and that would definitely bother me.
So for years now ive found it super difficult to care about playing video games. Sucked cause they were a hobby of mine for a long time. But now ive finally found a genre that keeps me invested. Freaky horror games! I recently got resident evil 4 remake. So awesome so far! So i impulsively bought re biohazard and village cause they were on special for halloween on xbox. This is my life now haha. I feel that the intensity of the types of games they are keep me from getting bored and numb to games. Yew!
I have the same problem. Every now and then I get hooked on one for weeks and it feels great but it doesn’t last forever and I can’t just play whatever’s hot and new like most people, most of the games I connect with have been out awhile.
Manhunt is my fav.
I’ve also enjoyed Dead Space and Outlast.
Yeah so many old school gems from the early 2000’s that i cherish.
Dead space is sickk!!
Fable, kotor 1 and 2, mass effect 1 and 2, dragon age origins, jade empire, es4 oblivion with shivering isles dlc, fallout 3 etc etc.
Edit: i feel that both bioware and bethesda suck now.
