Viagra for women? FDA approves an injection to boost women's sex drive

Viagra has been used by women for blood pressure, for years. :deer::deer::deer:

It’s not Viagra. It’s a new med.

For some reason my wife took one of my Viagaras. No idea why she did that.

Wtf…hypoactive sexual disorder? Or maybe some people want loads of sex and some none and anything in between, and thats just okay?

Can imagine it is nice for some to increase sex drive, but it feels odd to make this in a disorder and treat it.

I don’t know how it works, but if someone legitimately wants a higher sex drive- or, as is the case for many of us, needs one due to meds slowing it down- why shouldn’t they be treated?

Oh as i said, some might find it nice to have a higher sex drive. I personally would not want to chemically increase lust (yes i know how it is without), but that is each persons private choice and it is fine by me if they find that helpful.

I disagree with labeling it a disorder and calling it a treatment or med though. If i dont want sex, why is that disordered? People differ.

I am not sure if they mean it that way. I think it’s more that if you WANT more sex but don’t have the libido, you may have the disorder. If you are happy as you are, you likely don’t have the issue.

Women shouldn’t use Viagra, they don’t have penis

Its not actual Viagra,

Its a different medication made for women.

Yeah, i get the difference. I just think it is not a good development to label every normal variation a disorder and something abnormal.

I also personally would not take such a chemical drug to increase lust. Who knows what kind of side effects show up still. Id rather accept not wanting sex.

No problem if someone else does though.

Sex drive and the ability to maintain an erection aren’t always the same thing… so I don’t see how an ED pill can be compared to a sex drive medication.

I would not take this.

Hubby and I actually discussed this, and we wouldn’t go this route, either- for either of us. I don’t see it as a disorder, but I do see the need for it. Granted, I’m not the one who decides what is/isn’t a disorder. And thank goodness for that!

Really? Maybe I should ask my dr. About for my slightly high blood pressure and my nonexistent libido

Would it trigger voices though? Don’t our meds try to shut down this very thing? Getting overstimulated?

I thought they had it already for years. It’s called “chocolate, a dozen roses and a man crying in front of them.”
