The banks sent out notices releasing the liens on Vlad the Impala (my sedan) and The Rolling Womb (wife’s mini-van) this past week. Both vehicles are paid off. Feels goooooooood.
Trying to not get sucked into buying something new for a while.

I just saw a documentary about a guy that had 52 porsches. Then he has one car for each week of the year!
Sounds good! One less bill to pay
A true minimalist.
Nice!
My husband’s car is a VW Jetta TDI. There was a lawsuit against VW for the diesel cars, because they were releasing too many harmful emissions, yet passing emission testing because of something that VW purposefully did to the cars to make them pass when they shouldn’t pass.
Anyway, the lawsuit made VW fix all of the diesel cars at no cost to the consumers AND gave us a huge check that we used to pay off the loan! So, we haven’t had to pay anything on the Jetta for a few years now. Feels good.
i got a mortgage back in january and paid off so much

all in all is great but now i have a giant mortgage which i never had before
we bought my house with cash from inheritance from my dad and grandmothers death
I’m 32 and I’ve never had a car. Never really needed one. I’ve always lived in walking and biking distance to Walmart.
Congrats on finishing paying the vehicles.
Same dude…31 here and never needed a car
Hey @anon21849028 and @ThePoet - where do you live? Not specifically in terms of a town or city name, but large urban center or rural?
I live in a small city of about 15,000 people in Minnesota, U.S.
Interesting. I live in a town of 14,500 in Western Canada. There is no transit service here in town and there are no buses or shuttles running between our town and the nearest city, which is 40 min away. I can’t see my heart specialist without having a vehicle.
They’re like friggin’ Hydra.
PAY ONE OFF AND TWO MORE SHALL ARISE!!!
HAIL HYDRO!
(Hydro bill, that is. Local slang for power bill.)

I’ve been checking out the Mokka E reviews tonight
Can I borrow $100, rich guy?
If you can get it from my wife, sure!
