I started eating vegan just this past Monday, 7/13/2020. My health isnāt very good and I wanted to change my diet in a way that lowers inflammation, increases fiber, increases nutrients, and is just more raw.
Is anyone else here vegan or do you make occasional vegan recipes? Iām wondering if any of you guys have vegan recipes to share.
Maybe look up āWest African peanut soupā. I really liked it though I warn you it doesnāt taste like what Americans are used to but I loved it. Maybe make half the recipe first. Itās got sweet potatoes, coconut milk, cinnamon, Pb, a pinch of cayenne, kale and some other spices. Itās good even cold. It also is easy to make.
I was a vegan for ten years and loved it. I still will prefer it a lot. The quarantine made it hard to cook especially vegan for me so I take what I can get. Beans and rice was always a favorite.
I have that one. It is very good, but donāt let āfastā fool you. Most of the recipes take up to an hour to make, but you can shorten the time by making a few tweaks.
Iām vegan most of the time but I occasionally have a tiny amount of chocolate or dairy. I like to be as much as I can because of the environment and my health
A favourite vegan dish of mine at the moment is lentil bolognaise. Basically exactly same as bolognaise but with lentils instead of mince meat. Lentils cooked in tomato sauce and served over spaghetti, awesome!
I also love chickpeas with brown rice or noodles.
And banana, apple, carrot and kale smoothie made with soya milk.
And Iām fond of oatmeal or polenta for breakfast porridge.
Good luck with your vegan diet! Itās a great choice for whoever is able to do it
A good way to boost your protein intake is by eating red lentil pasta or chickpea pasta. It has a ton of protein. My favorite brand is Modern Table. I think they do a good job making the noodles taste and cool like regular pasta.
yes they are. if one understands why they are eating them then they are indeed tasty cos it is guilt free my taste buds will one day adapt and then i wont binge eat anymore
not exactly,
but it is not too pricey either. just some things are challenging, like brown rice takes ages to cook.
that is one reason i like quinoa and buckwheat. but they are more expensive and cant be found everywhereā¦ so it is effort but it is worth it as a stepping stone to freedom. perhaps? idk
