Usually most my protein comes from dairy, but

now all that dairy is triggering my asthma. I will eat meat but don’t prefer to usually. I like boneless, skinless chicken breast, a specific albacore tuna, white meat turkey, white fish and that’s about it. I may eat one of those things in a meal once a day. I like extra firm tofu. I like eggs occasionally. I love all beans except chickpeas and giant limas. I like all nuts.

I need simple, cheap meal ideas that have a little non-dairy protein in them using the proteins that I like. You don’t have to give me recipes, just ideas. I can look up recipes if I like the ideas. Thank you.

That’s awesome, I was thinking about making lentil street tacos tonight with lime and cilantro. I usually have it with sour cream and it’s so good. I wonder if it’s good without.

So usually when I make my lentils for tacos I put a carrot and some onion in and I spice it with cumin, salt, red pepper, pepper and garlic. I don’t have cumin. What spices do you use?
