Yeah that’s what I expected, I feel so much more functional on lower doses then when I was 16 mg of invega or 8 mg of respiridone.
Gotta stick with the meds until you adjust to your symptoms. Prevents extreme thinking like suicidal thoughts.
Interesting pic. For some people though a deactivated brain is better than the waking nightmare.
Looks delicious. Lol.
I love scrambled eggs
This is me off of my meds
is just showing reduced activity?
Not necessarily a bad thing the pic makes it seem pretty drastic. I don’t know what normal doses of olazapine or whoever it is. Or how long they’ve been on the meds, I doubt that’s the effect of one dose. But what do I know. An excerpt would’ve helped.
Mindwhisperer could’ve made himself…
The only info it gives in the bottom right is it is a patient on clozapine, 300mg, at greater than 4 weeks of treatment.
Wow totally missed that thanks for pointing that out. Is that a large dose? Do you know?
It’s a moderate dose.
Is the healthy control someone with sz? I think I read before there are structural differences in a sz brain compared to their mentally healthy counterpart. So is it the meds or the illness?
I believe that’s a before and after image, should be anyways. Wouldn’t be right to compare two people.
I don’t doubt there is truth to what you say.
The one on the left says healthy control so I assume it’s two different people. They can’t accurately predict sz so it would be hard to get a before image.
Well that does change things. Who knows what the effect of the med is bs the sz.
My brain off meds is a potato soaked in liquified LSD with electrodes stuck in it.
I wouldn’t even want to poke it with a stick. It might blow up.
No i didnt make that, you can google search pet scan on antypsychotic, and search under image
Only kidding man.
been off meds for about a year now and doing pretty well
As far as I know healthy or normal control usually means non-diagnosed.
In this image the one on the left is non-medicated diagnosed and still shows less yellow/red or grey/white matter then the normal control.
