It’s not just benefits claimants, everyone’s affected. From students to younger adults and so on

I wish they’d cap energy prices, then maybe the trickle down of the energy prices wouldn’t be inflating everything we purchase from food to fuel and everything in between

It’s morally indefensible, the profits the energy companies are making while people struggle. Ofgem has been next to useless in curbing their unacceptable greed. Sadly we tend to see the very worst of capitalism in such situations. I don’t see that situation changing any time soon.

Here in Canada a good chunk of the energy price is the carbon tax.

For some unfortunately it will be a choice between heating or eating this winter.
