The results will be sent to my GP and the hospital at Stanford. The dermatologist didn’t give me any bad news but I will see what unfolds in the coming weeks.
I got in a little power struggle with the dermatologist. My sister had called her up after a visit about a month ago because I wa getting the runaround from 3 or 4 different doctors; basically I was calling about some kind of PET/CT scan and they kept telling me I should talk to a certain doctor on what to do. And every doctor I talked to would tell me to call the other doctor I should talk to who just told me to call THEM.
My sister eventually stepped in and held them accountable. My sister is smart and strong and gave the dermatologist a piece of her mind about shuffling off her responsibilities. So during the visit today the doctor subtly tried to make my sister look bad and say she was wrong. My sister does not need me to stick up for her, she can stick up for herself any time but the doctor today irked me with that sh*t. I tried to bite my tongue but when the dermatologist tried to say my sister was in the wrong. I tried to bite my tongue and all I said was, “It’s OK, my sister already let it go”. But the dermatologist wouldn’t stop, she had to keep going on and my remark, under the circumstances, was rather cutting, lol. And when the dermatologist tried to use her position I said, And my sister has a good job." IDK, I’m learning more and more how to think on my feet and be assertive and doing so is the best feeling I’ve ever had.
