Watching TeleVision used to be experiencing Heaven, now I’m being uneasy and no pleasure at all. How can I be happy and have fun again? Is it the illness or medication huge doses?
For me it’s the medication.
I used to enjoy doing things, even when in the throes of illness, but at higher doses of meds I mostly just stare at walls.
I can’t watch tv anymore …
I’m unable to use pc as well… (using pc now a days is using internet, no internet means switch off the laptop )
Maybe you’ll get lucky and your body will adjust eventually and you’ll be able to do things again.
How long have you been in your current med dose?
since december 2018 or more
I was hospitalized before that
Yeah, maybe this is just your new normal then. I’m sorry. Is really hard to remember how much you used to enjoy something and no longer be able to do it.
I quit watching TV a few weeks ago and started listening to the radio instead. I don’t have internet either except on my phone. My days are really boring until my day program begins at noon. TV just seems too complex these days and all of my favorite shows were earlier in the season.
Usually after a relapse it takes a couple of months for the negative symptoms to go away, but the medication can make them worse especially fluonxol injections they tend to make a person restless irratable and flat which is what I noticed when I was on them risperidone didnt do that for me.
They will lower your medication after six months without a relapse they did that with me, your negative symptoms will get better then.
