Last night was bad. I just recently got my shot Thursday of Invega and for some reason we had a fan in our room , A box fan and for some reason thought I heard bomb’s dropping or Loud Music and even asked my wife. She said nothing was wrong so I was turning the sounds of the box fan into Bomb’s dropping and loud bass music, and the music even had a groove, and was loud.
Then I took the box fan out of the room and brought another fan in. Then I started hearing another sound that kept me up from the other fan. I eventually unplugged that fan, and was hearing all night like different types of noises that sounded like somebody was making them. I even hear something like as if a T.V was left on in the other room, like voices and music.
It is just creepy cause I hate sleeping by myself and that’s what I had to do last night. Usually when my wife is with me it’s better, but still annoying. Anyone know what I’m talking about? Like making surrrounding noises into other stuff than what it is or hearing noises or T.V type stuff or Music?
Hi Wes,
I was diagnosed back in 2005 schizoaffective, and I took Invega for a short period of time. I have mostly delusion, not so much hallucinations but when I was taking Invega, I came home from dropping my kids off at school, and I heard a tv playing in my sons room. as I walked up the steps it became louder and louder. then when I got to his room it was off and dead silence. My doctor switched me to Zyprexa and all that tv/radio stuff went away. I think our meds react to us all in different ways, and need to be handled on an individual basis.
Hi Jillian,
I was diagnosed when I was 27 so back in 2011. Even though I’ve had it since I’ve been 13-14 though, I didnt have my first bad breakdown till I was that age, and it really scared me the stuff I went through and thought. Had many more breakdowns after that until I got on Invega. That’s the reason I swear by it so much although I still have paranoia and hear those sounds
You think I can actually find a med that makes the noises and T.V like sounds go away?
I never really thought of that, I just thought it was something I had to deal with, since I’ve been on Invega I haven’t been hospitalized not once, so that’s the only reason I’m still taking it. I might bring up Zyprexa to my doctor although I want to be on a shot, not a med to take everyday or I will forget to take it or not want to take it.
I have to be on a shot otherwise that will happen. thinking about bringing up the noises and T.V like sounds to my doctor and switch meds accordingly.
At least I’m not alone in this. LIke hearing those noises and sounds that come from a T.V. I could of swore my last neighbor kept his T.V on underneath us, but sometimes my wife would say she didn’t hear anything. A
lthough hearing bombs drop and Bass Music was another thing I couldn’t stop hearing IDK why I heard it, but I did and was confusing the box fan noise into making noises like that. My mind was playing trics on me.
Then after I switched fans I heard creepy like noises from the hallway or the living room that probably was a legit sound, but my mind was making it turn into a different sound than it was or annoying sounds.
Hard to explain it all, but if somebody understands the others what I’m talking about please let me know what that is. Maybe it’s time to switch meds from Invega to something else. Just something in shot form that’s once a month though.
I’ve heard voices and music coming from TVs and space heaters and my fridge. It must be pretty typical. But my med is working better now on an upped dose and with time and exposure. Do what your doc says and persevere with the faith that all shall be well.
