Turning memories on and off in mice: TW - mind control

TLDR, a surgeon can insert special neurons via brain surgery. These neurons act as a chemical switch, so that memories can be turned on or off. In the future it might be possible to turn off other things like positive symptoms.

Would you let them near your brain? I think I’d be too paranoid.

Not sure I’d like that tbh too personal. Plus not all my memories are bad. To be honest they are what keep me living to be able to experience something good again and remember it

I wonder if it could help with ptsd and positive symptoms like false memories and crap. I read an article posted here a couple weeks back about a potential future cure for dissociation…perhaps targeted rtms therapy?
