i think i am trying to hard too come off as intelligent,

idk if it is a veil i have put up or maybe i am delusional but the thing is

i’d hate to come across as a smart ass mr fancy pants bc thats not who i am

i need to curb my enthusiasm, i think a little knowledge can corrupt

or is it knowledge is dangerous and power corrupts? idk the quote lol

anyway i am going to try and just stop this power trip that i think i have been on,

i don’t have all the answers, nobody does, i already knew this but i guess i was pretending i didnt, maybe, idk

is anybody else trying too hard at anything?

Lol they portray matt Damon in team America as an unintelligent person. He’s actually a very smart person in real life. Just some comedy.

Yeah, it’s like who are we trying to impress, or how far do we change our behavior for money? Money is always an issue, even to the wealthy because they are taught not to think about it which is trouble in itself.

thats true, like the politicians trying to win votes,

its like they dont even care about us, we are an obstacle for them like and its all about money and power and scoring points against the opposition, they are all a bunch of schemers who dont have a clue what people really think.

i don’t think the people even know what they really think tbh like you dont ever really know what to believe if you know what i mean.

i think they try so hard to win votes that they forget who really matters and that is the people.

I cannot stand people that come off as intellectual - seems like they are the biggest ass holes -
Especially ones that think they are the smartest, usually they are the insecure ones, trying act as if they know everything

i guess i wish i just knew what people thought about me here :frowning:

i keep thinking people are fed up with me and my posts and want me to stop posting

but at the same time i want to help now that i am doing ok in my free time,

feels like i am really doing something to help, but idk if i am helping or not,
sometimes i think people dont really want to know
i just really hope that i am not making anyone unwell bc that is not what i want at all.

like if i asked how many people have gotten unwell at something i have said on here i wonder how many people would put there hands up.

I try too hard to be the wise maverick. In the end there isn’t any reward to trying to be ‘something.’ You can’t fool yourself most of all

Daydreamer, sometimes I notice you trying to be smart a little, but not a lot. Maybe you are testing new waters before getting a feel for things - and learning how to swim.

I think your intelligent. I never got the impression that your trying too hard.

More then showing off your intellect… I like your post because even if we disagree… I can tell your a kind person who is trying to make it through your day… just like everyone else.

Good luck and if you want to work with under privileged kids… that is a very worthy goal.

Unfortunately it’s part of my character to try and be smart. I’m not good at living on reckless whims.

I don’t try to flaunt it or anything. I recognize now how much smarter I could be/seem. I’m not interested in pushing it any further.

There is a sacrifice when you are inclined to question everything. Hit the nail on the head. Insecurity.
