Trying to quit smoking cigarettes

I’ve been smoking marlboro red’s since I was about 17. SO right around 20 years or so. Before that I smoked newport menthol, and before that I started off on Camel non filtered because that’s what my dad smoked back in the day. I’m gonna miss it, but I would love to be able to breathe again

This is me right here. I have one, but I have a hard time making the switch. It doesn’t seem to give me the same effect that I’ve noticed

And this is my ultimate goal, to heal my brain. I’m just thinking about the money I’m going to save right now

You’re doing good man, keep up the good work! Your body will love you for it. Right now I’m about 12 hours in, had my last cigarette at around 2am last night before I went to sleep. Woke up feeling irritable, but I feel this should pass within the next few days(wishful thinking)

This is very good information, and I actualyl know a few ex smokers who did the same thing. They would reward themselves by not smoking, and try to trick themselves into thinking that one cigarette won’t do any harm. But odds are it’ll trigger that receptor in your brain into craving it more and more and more, and next thing you know you’re a full blown smoker again. I’ve done this more times than I can count. Cold turkey is a bitch, but I feel that’s the only true way to “successfully” stop smoking for good. No rewards, no nothing. Just good health and long living

hope it all goes well…i kicked the habit 8yrs ago…you need to say NO
