My dog has gained weight since I’ve gotten sick. Its exhausting playing with her and I can’t take her on the walks. So I bought a toy for me to use. Its a pole with bungee cord and a fabric toy on the end. All you have to do is swing it back and forth and the dog will go running after it until they fall over tired. So far I have done this twice today. Now I am back in bed and really tired myself.But I know she will sleep good now.

Maybe you can take your dog for a very short walk not too far from your residence - let him or her sniff around a bit and get some fresh air - stretching out its legs a bit - it could do you some good as well

Well she’s an outside dog on the account of how big she is (pitbull) so its not a problem of getting fresh air. I would take her on short walks, but that also requires putting her on a choke collar because shes so strong. Really, if I want to take her on a walk, I have to get my dad to hold the leash.

dog ownership is not compulsary why not rehome it to someone who can be bothered to put the work in.

I don’t think I’ve heard of that toy. Sounds fun though. I have a dog who loves the chuck it and frisbee. They’re minimal impact on me if I need to be less active on a given day.
Your dog has to have a solid recall, but with most a chopped up hot dog or cheese chunks can solve that problem.
With the pulling, if you haven’t tried a sensation harness, they can be as effective as a prong collar. Just a thought. Glad you and your dog are getting some fresh air. Reminds me I should take mine to the park as it’s a nice day and sooner than later it’ll just be wet drizzle.

I’ll look into the sensation harness! After she ate through her last one (long story) I havent had time to buy her a new one, which was the only way I could take her on walks by myself without having to use the choke collar.
You mean… since I can’t physically take her off her run (meaning she can run all around the back yard as she pleases) to walk her down the driveway and back, but I can still exercise the ■■■■ out of her, I have to give my dog away? I said thanks for your input originally, but I changed my mind. It’s my ■■■■■■■ dog and I’m not ■■■■■■■ abusing her.
how would you like to be tied up and never go anywahere that is exactly what you are doing her dogs needs sight sounds smells and exersize i dont mean to be harsh but if you do not walk your dog its abuse and why cant she be in your house?
imagine if you were chained up in the garden.
and the reason she is pulling when you walk her is because she simply CANNOT BELIEVE she is free and is soo excited.

She can’t be in the house because my parents won’t let her.

carleygee i care about animals more than i care about being polite. why not just try and walk her every day? you would make her happy.

they like to be together rehome her.
I say we sterilize all dogs and cats.
That way they can’t have more and no one has to die of a tumor eating away at their snout anymore.
No one has to be hoisted up on the cold cold death table in a fit of terror and be given that fateful shot of poisonous drugs anymore.
You want to care about animals then you should really care about animals. And if you care about animals you will sterilize all of them so they don’t have to die anymore.
They don’t really care about dogs and cats carly, they only think they do. They “love” those animals you know, like a good steak they “love” those animals. They are just fine with those animals dying.

I had my dog fixed a long time ago. According to dandy, my dog is suffering. Well me and my dad just went and played with her, and gasp! we took her off her run so she could run even further. See, what I didn’t mention is that my neighborhood is full of irresponsible twats who let their pets run free, off leashes. And well, having a pitbull that could kill their animal if it attacked, would just be annoying for me.
Also, Dandy, you have never met my dog. So you don’t know ■■■■. ■■■■ off.
Carleygee no I haven’t met your dog no but all dogs need exersize and stimulation. theyre seems to be worse abuse in your neighbourhood than the abuse you are putting your dog through but its still abuse and if we are resorting to name calling your a LAZY BITCH. WALK YOUR DOG.
I play with my dog multiple times a day so I have no idea what you’re talking about.
I give her more exercise than a “walk” would so I’m not ■■■■■■■ lazy.

The only time I could feasibly walk my dog is at night when the dogs are gone.
And that is dangerous for myself. Someone tried to run me over when I was bicycling once.

It’s my fault the other dogs try to attack my dog??? my dog is incredibly friendly, but has the capability to seriously maim another animal that is attacking her. Like I don’t know why you are still on my post, when I already told you to ■■■■ off.
