Troubled by latest update

The night vision add-on that I’ve been using no longer works since the new update. Rather than getting white text on a black background I’m getting a faint gray text very hard to read on a black background.

Is this on PC, mobile browser, or the app?

On a PC. 151515

What’s worse, I’m being billed annually a couple of bucks for it.

Sorry, I guess the problem is with the add-on. It’s not working on other sites also.

What browser are you using? There are many excellent darkmode/nightvision addons for free.

I’m using Chrome. The other night mode add-on I’ve tried will invert the colors but also unfortunately inverts the colors in pictures.

I use Firefox and an add-on that I can adjust. I also use flux, which my bf recommended to me. It shifts your colors to redder hues when it’s nighttime. You can adjust the temperature of your screen yourself for easier viewing, and it has preselected options you can use, too. Both I use are free

I don’t see one called Flux unless its one in French – “Geek Mexicain Flux.”

Flux is a computer program. I should have specified. https://justgetflux.com/

I’m using Linux. The instructions on Flux look too complicated for me. I don’t know how to do all those command line instructions for Ubuntu on Kubuntu.

I looked on an old thread and found a recommendation for Night Mode Pro. When I searched that I found a newer one called Dark Mode Pro which does what I need pretty well although it seems to cause some lagging in scrolling. I’ll use it for now.

Still doesn’t work the way I want it. It screws up some of the sites I use.
