Just wondering if any of you folks have been on Trilafon and experienced a lack of sexual desire and impotence problems? It has totally put the kibosh on my libido. Any advice/suggestions/thoughts?
@anon40540444 I am on prolixin (fluphenazine) and I have no sexual side affects…wonder drug for me really. You oughtta’ switch. My ex wife is on trilafon but since she’s a woman she doesn’t have any sexual problems.
Thanks for the quick response @jukebox. I appreciate it. Trilafon is my last option…I’ve exhausted all other options except Clozaril. I’ve been on Prolixin, and even at a low dose, it gives me wicked akathisia/restlessness. There are a FEW atypicals I haven’t tried, but I get my meds through the county mental health system, and they are not keen AT ALL on prescribing the new meds because they’re so expensive. This is my last hope. On a side note, it IS helping me very much and I’m falling head over heels for how well this medication works for me. Just these libido issues are annoying. I think I might be stuck with them. I’d rather choose sanity over sex. It’s not fair to have to choose between the two. Phooey.
Then talk to your GP about getting on viagra.?
I like your thinking, and I don’t mean to keep shooting your thoughts down, I really don’t, but I’ve been on as much as 20 mg of Cialis and it didn’t help. My GP says medication-induced impotence is hard to treat. Thanks again juke!
what about an inplant? You have to lose a testicle but you decide how long you are “up”. I would if I had no alternative…gotta have love dude…or “all you need is love”.!
LOL! What is this implant you speak of? I can decide how long I’m up? What do you mean, sir?
The procedure goes like this…they put a “pump” the size of a testicle in place of one of your testicals and put if you will a sort of inflatable device inside your ■■■■■and it can be pumped as hard as you want with the pump. Got it? haha
Wow! Never heard of that. I’ll definitely keep that idea in my pocket. I’m “fixed” so having kids is not a concern and losing a testicle wouldn’t be so bad. The next question then becomes, “Will my insurance pay for it?” Probably not. But I’ll be sure to ask my GP about it.
I don’t know about insurance…good luck.
No, no, I don’t expect you to. Thanks for the idea buddy!
