I was crossing the road at the lights when I noticed a car pulled up at the side of the road, the traffic was building up. I witnessed the driver carry a cat and place it on the pavement. The cat was white and ginger and wasn’t moving. The driver then drove off. I feel really bad. I wanted to go help the cat but my support worker said you can’t help them when they’ve been run over and I continued walking feeling really guilty. I could of done something? I still feel really guilty. I hate seeing harm to animals. My support worker went into town with another service users about a hour later and he said the cat had gone. I feel terrible.
Life comes and goes my friend. Pray for the best for that cat. You probably couldn’t have done anything, but I’m sure the cat is happier knowing that you cared so much for it. Don’t regret not acting, some things are beyond our control. I know it must have hurt to see that, but remember that’s just how life is sometimes. The next time you see a stray cat, maybe feed it some tuna. Try to keep your head up!
Thank you that means a lot Blinded!
If you weren’t a kind person who cares about animals, then this wouldn’t have affected you the way it did. There’s probably nothing you could have done.
Try not to feel bad. I’m sorry you had to see something like that.
