On 6th and 7th, I had a one-night, two-day travel to Kamakura, Japan.
Kamakura is about two hours away from my place by normal train.
Not too far from Saitama where I live, though it’s known for a lot of temples and the sea.
I traveled for the first time in 10 years.
I am surprised at how far I’ve come so far.
Just about 5 years ago, it was impossible for me to even go to a movie because I get tired so easily.
But about 4 years ago, I began to go out, first to places that’s close to my place, then step by step, to farther places.
I feel mentally/physhically stronger now.
One thing I can say is that my life is changing for the better.
More and more things in my life are non-sz related.
More and more things in my life are what non-sz ppl do as well.
Schizophrenia is becoming my past, or at least just part of me, not everything about me like 10 years ago.
It looks very nice. Glad to know you’re taking steps towards a normal life. There seems to be a lot of these parks and temples in Japan, even though the country seems to be very populated, it is nice to know that there are sanctuaries like that where you can get a bit of tranquility!!
If I ever get around to getting a degree in video game development and finally learn the Japanese language, I might realize my dream of moving there. Japan is very advanced in robotics and Video Games so job opportunities shouldn’t be lacking for me with the right experience…
Thanks for sharing your beautiful holiday experiences with us
It’s special that you have come so far, I hope you remain stable and continue improving, things get better and better the longer you have the right medication and treatment
