. Recovery in schizophrenia is defined by the Scottish Recovery Network as “being able to live a meaningful and satisfying life, as defined by each person, in the presence or absence of symptoms”.
I totally agree with this. I’m glad it is getting into the mix of info.

Schizophrenics have enough hopelessness to last several lifetimes — from doctors to society to family — the message is the same (and incorrect): a lifetime of drugs, symptoms, and poor quality of life. If you buy into that message, you’re likely setting yourself up for a self-fulfilling prophecy.
