I declined to have a social worker. She didn’t help me, wanted me to stop university.

If you’re going to college it better be to study something you’re interested in, other wise you’ll just fail.

I have a decent social worker now.
She conducts therapy sessions.

I’ve heard it said that “If you have a job that you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Lucky for you, YOU get to choose and not them.

Tell you something interesting about horticulture.

Ellis water can spark a 300% yield. Hydroponics can spark a 50-100% yield.

Put the two together! Change the world.

Both sound like fulfilling careers.

You seem to be very interested in horticulture. I love languages. If I were able to be a translator I would be in Heaven! Follow your own Heaven

I think you should do what you think is the best fit for you, because working is very stressful and can be triggering. So it’s important to like what you do and to feel good about what you do

IDK for sure but I think getting attacked by a client is not that common. Although I did get kicked out of the Social Security office by security for threatening my caseworker. Hell, I was on drugs though and I was 27 and she was annoying.

Follow your own path, dude. Be real with yourself and what you want, and don’t let anyone talk you into a career you don’t want.

If I had to choose between horticulturalist and social worker I’d choose horticulturalist. I’d rather work with plants than people.

It is actually super common, depending on your clientelle.

I would definitely choose horticulture. It’s an interesting career and it’s only a two year degree.

Social work is six years of school for extremely stressful and underpaid work. I’ve had some great experiences with VA social workers though, and I’m forever thankful to them.

Why do your parents want you to pursue social work?

Personally I think community college is a better deal than a four year university.

Social work has a large burnout rate. :shark::shark::shark:

I think you and everyone, should study what they are truly interested in. That’s the only way to be happy in life.
