We do it too. We dye eggs in many colors but basically red. And we hit one with another, and if you remain unshattered you win
Here in France, chocolate eggs and rabbits. Stuff like that. … I am not Catholic but the religious holidays for this period are very important for a lot of people here.
Actually, there are still quite a few atheists.
We are free to celebrate or not. Except its a public holiday by law.
