It was quite a busy day today, I felt like my lack of motivation took a backseat for a while. It was a glorious sunny day, warm with a cool wind, so I did two loads of laundry, and decided that the weather was so nice I would stay outside and do a spot of gardening. I garden in containers, so there was this long container with parsley and sweet basil. Well, the sweet basil was dead, just sticks and the parsley, though flourishing, was tangled in weeds, so I weeded a bit and pulled out the dead basil plants. Then I planted marigold seeds in their place. All whilst having the sun warm on my back and music in my ears played through headphones. it was a moment in life when I was glad to be alive. Then after that I was interrupted by a missed call which my husband alerted me to. It was my friend who said she would pop in to visit, so an hour or so later, past 3pm, she came and we chatted. It was nice to see her, as I haven’t seen her in months. After coffee we walked on the beach and she went to the beachside station to catch a train home. It was nice walking on the beach, the sun setting behind the mountain. There were still a lot of people about even though it was after 5:30pm.
It was one of those better days for me.
