Spanish lessons today with my tutor over the phone. I don’t know if I can videoconference on the smartphone. I’ll try.

Oh yes! I can carry on hour long conversations with my tutor and can understand like 80% of her conversation. The rest I can gather from context. I think that’s like pretty darn good.
I’m also reading Barack Obama’s new book, Una Tierra Prometida, (A Promised Land), all in Spanish.

Over 50 years. But I’ve never had much chance to simply converse in the language. And that’s what’s important.
