Today I quit my job and start taking bupropion

The job was stressing me too much and wasn’t a good fit for me. Maybe I will use my mother’s car to do some deliveries to pay rent. I’ll wait and see what surprises
or disappointments the next chapter in my life has for me in terms of health and career.

My doctor suggested I go on bupropion and see if it will help my energy level go higher specially during the winter months.

He also agreed to decrease the dose of my monthly invega injection to 75mgs since my energy is way too low.

Has anyone here taken or is taking buproprion?

Made me worse, somewhat irritable. Didn’t help with negative symptoms. Took it for 1 month and we stopped it. I had difficulty sleeping sometimes on it.

My doctor said I could also stop the medication if I don’t feel better on it. We will see how my body will react to it.

Why did he prescribe it? You have depression?

He is been surveying my symptoms and I consistently feel unmotivated and way less energetic compared to the time I wasn’t taking Invega so he suggested this medication to help with that and also to help me quit vaping.

Hopefully you have depression and therefore it will help in that case. I don’t think there is meds for negative symptoms. Buproprion is an antidepressant.

I hope it helps

Bupropion was bad for me. I had extreme anxiety on it. It made me feel completely crazy

I think I had anxiety on it too.

It gave me bad insomnia, and within 2 weeks I started to have suicidal ideation. I stopped it immediately. But I have a tendency to react badly to medication. I tried at least a dozen before I found geodon.

We’re not all the same. Try it, and have a game plan for if it goes wrong.

I didn’t find Latuda because I said no to trying new medications.

I tried it. Didn’t do anything for me. Made me a bit anxious and I kept getting sensory overload.
Took 300-400 mg SR.

I’m on 150XL and today I didn’t feel anything on it except for a super mild headache for a minute

Give it time, give it 1 month if no serious side effects.

I tried it for 8 months cuz my doc insisted it would help then he gave up and sent me to the psychiatrist.

I am confused, its not a psychiatrist who prescribed you Wellbutrin?

Nope my doctor prescribed it. He wanted to try that before sending me to a pdoc again

Oh I didn’t know that regular Drs can prescribe psychiatric meds. Can they prescribe antipsychotics? If my family Dr would have prescribed me APs when I had violent voices that would have saved me 2 nearly successful suicide attempts.

My voices got really mean when I was on bupropion, had to be taken off it.
