Ask not what you can do for your daughter. Ask what your daughter can do for you. That’s only ok when the daughter is an adult. When it happens to children, it’s a crisis.
If you’re not familiar with Kennedy’s statement it was “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
