Time Just Freezes

I have these very strange moments sometime, where I would look at the time for instance with a second countdown and the time will freeze for three or four seconds, when really it is only one second

That’s the way I would describe it, as if you threw a ball and it suddenly stopped in mid-flight and then continued. What the f*** is that all about?

When does this happen? Is it when you look at an analogue clock?

Like a timer on the stove. But that’s just an example, sometime time just seems to freeze 4 or 5 seconds for me. It’s an odd sensation

It might be this

That could be part of it, for sure. But it happens with me other times as well. I think it’s just being temporarily clearly aware of your surroundings. Like a Zen state

A rift in the time/space fabric
Sometimes the outside stops
Sometimes it’s the inner that’s out of step
It happens
Sucks
Always throws a nice monkey wrench into the continuum of reality
Murphy always gotta stick his fingers in the pie
It is what it is
Just don’t expect me to make any sense trying to explain it
We live in different realities
And yes I do think I’m better than you
Just because you function better means nothing
Your world is insane
It’s not mine
I will not fall in line
And that makes me
A Problem
Be compliant

I had something similar happen to me where I was in some situation and then had a thought process that lasted several seconds while a second or so passed around me.

I know that feeling. Sometimes it happens when I’m watching a bird, it’s like the entire world freezes for 2 seconds and then restarts again

It’s actually a very pleasant feeling, makes me think of Zen mind

As long as you don’t freeze its ok, off meds I freeze and become catatonic.

I don’t know if it’s related, but I often have times when my mind will go off in all directions, like fractal branches almost, and when I come back to earth 15 or 20 minutes have gone by and in my mind it’s about maybe 2 minutes

That can’t be easy to cope with @Aziz . Hopefully the medication keep that at Bay

@iconoclast_01 wow, that’s definitely a different thing. How do you feel when you come out of it?

Yea I don’t get catatonia on 4-6mg Risperdal but did on 80mg Latuda and off meds. But I still get negative symptoms.

Glad you found something that works

Disoriented and kinda annoyed at the time wasted, not that I usually have anything vital to do.
My brother used to have narcolepsy with catalepsy. Now THAT’S bad.

Maybe you moved at the speed of light by accident

I used to seizure a lot, and started grand mal seizuring a few years ago. The medication has it under control now, but it was really f***** up for a while. I would seizure and wake up in the hospital six or eight hours later. Very f***** up

Anyway, my point being do you think these are seizures? There are several types of seizures, some are subclinical and very mild, up to grand mal and everything in between. That’s what it reminds me of anyway

Very well could be. I had a seizure very recently and they tell me it wasn’t very long but I have zero recollection of it nor the time passed. So they could be very short-term seizures. Have you seen a neurologist recently?

Yeah, I figured it had something to do with seizuring. I went through the same thing for years, or something similar

I have a neurologist, but I’ve never met her. And I really haven’t needed her for the last year-and-a-half, the med combination finally got rid of the grand mals.

And I finally got my f****** license back woohoo!

What he said
I know that feeling
If I knew how to put it into words
I’d say something like that

Edit
Oh nice could be seizure related
Well that’s just ducking wonderful
I’m still not laughing
