i was never one for praying anyway tbh. i firmly beieve that if there is a god and he knows about our situation then he’ll exact vengence on those responsible and when i look around me? on some of them he already has. a couple still have to have something bad happen to them for me to be satisfied but that’s ok…i can wait. and maybe they’ll suffer in the afterlife too. who knows. i hope so. people that torture children should be punished for eternity in my opinion. if i’ll pray for anything, it will be that and i just have to hope that god, if he exists, hears our pleas for help. xxx
Keep your prayers short and simple. They might come out better. In AA they told me not to pray for specific things when I am praying to my higher power i.e. no wishes for cars or money or to win the lottery. So the times that I pray, I thank him for helping me stay clean and sober. I pray for knowledge of his will for me and the power to carry that out.I ask him to remove all my character defects and to help me stay clean and sober for the coming day. Takes less than a minute.
