He had blood glucose of 0.6 mmol/L, this is extreme. I once started passing out in a train with a blood glucose of about 2 mmol/L, because I had eaten too little after an insulin shot. One should always strive to keep it not less than 3.3 mmol/l

Hypoglycemia is known to cause odd behavior.

Consistently elevated blood sugar, or hyperglycemia, is also known to cause psychosis. Diabetics are between a rock and a sweet place.
