Thinking of switching to orally disingrating olanzapine from the regular tablet

im on regular 10 mg olanzapine tablets right now and i see my pdoc in like 5 days, im thinking of asking if i can switch the the orally disintegrating tablets of the same med.

i think i want to try this because it seems more convenient and it is kinda hard to swallow the regular pill, also i saw some studies that said the orally disintegrating tablet doesnt increase appetite as much as the regular one because of the way its absorbed and people actually lost weight from switching to it, this makes me want to try it but the only thing i am worried about is what if it doesnt work as well as the regular tablet, im pretty sure it will work for me since its the same drug but i am a little worried about that because i tried alot of different meds last year and they all made my life hell and i dont want to go through more bad times but i think i might just be overthinking because it is the same med so i think it should still work for me

what do u guys think

We’ve discussed this in the past.
I thought it was a good idea.
But yeah please bring it up with your doctor.
Good luck @sigarino.
