Thinking of getting into bodybuilding

I’m such a weakling lol

I never get exercise yet lately I have been interested in bodybuilding.

Any bodybuilders out there? Are there any good books I could pick up to teach me?

Is it worth it or is the pain too much?

eat a lot and lift heavy weight every second day

even if you just lift a barbell 15 times every two days and eat

For motivation

For technique

Very cool man!

I don’t know much about the technical side but I like working out. Doing pushups situps running etc. for the beginning I’ve heard that you shouldn’t worry too much about the technical things. One should just focus on having fun and working hard because you’ll naturally get noobie gains. You can put on 10-20lb of muscle in a year if you’ve never really worked out. It’s possible. Gaining muscle afterwards is much harder so then you need to be more technical.

My only advice would be just be consistent. Commit to 5 days a week or something and just grind it out. And be specific. Like I’m going to do 50 pushups, 50 situps, 50 squats and 2 miles. And stick to it every day. That’s how results come.

Id recommend subscribing to coach Greg on YouTube hes one of the top body building coach type guys on there.

Lmao yea he funny. He calls out everyone … Probably for views and money but he’s a good guy. Has a good message and good experience with bodybuilding. I like what he teaches.

Focus on compounds

Bench, deadlift, squat, ohp, barbell row/chin ups.

And then target smaller muscle groups with isolation: calves, biceps, triceps, rear delts, side delts, traps.

Is the pain worth it? I really want to gain some mass lol

If you do it right, it’s a good pain. It feels good. Too much and it’s bad pain. You need good form and to know how much you can push yourself without injuries

I was never cut out for it. If I excersise my arms more often than every third day I injure myself. So I’m sticking to a workout every third day. I can do running or walking the other days though.

However a workout every third day still makes a world of difference and is absolutely worth it. It doesen’t have to be all or nothing when it comes to excersise.

We don’t really have a choice as humans I think. We’re made to move. Maybe you need to choose a sport you like best. That’s the key.

I was never big with sports, unfortunately. Even if I did I have no one to play with.

I’m just interested in lifting weights and stuff.
