Thinking of becoming a firefighter

Due to daily catastrophes related to a certain someone, I am becoming quite adept at putting out fires.

I figure if Im going to be putting out fires all day every day for the rest of my life, I might as well get paid for it.

I hear firefighting pays pretty good…

Plus I like Dalmations and I could toot the fire engine horn…so it seems like a win/win to me.

I was an EMT-Basic and was going to become a firefighter. Psychosis happened around the same time and due to my hallucinations I had to drop my lifelong dream of being a firefighter.

I had a nightmare level fear that I would hear someone in a burning building that would end up being a hallucination.

Sorry that things turned out that way, @Squanchy .

That’s okay! I ended up with a crazy clinical period and saw enough that still haunts me today. It wasn’t for me, and I accept that now.

I don’t mean to discourage you in any way my man, Bowens, but fire fighters see a lot of pretty messed up stuff. My cousin is a volunteer firefighter and he has PTSD from some of the things he’s seen.

thanks @Montezuma . Im not really thinking about becoming a firefighter. I was kind of being tongue in cheek because im putting out all these fires on the home front lately.

@Bowens Some days I wouldn’t mind being a cop just so I could hit someone who is acting up with a big stick LOL.

My dad always says he wishes he was every time he sees someone driving with a cell phone. My dad seriously gets road rage with distracted drivers with cell phones.

You’ve got the hose for it.

Or so @Patrick says.
