like the lotus flower casino in percy jackson, u eat the flowers and play the games unlimitedly and end up spending an eternity there.
it doesnt make sense why the account closing process is made so difficult and inconvenient. why should u have to wait 2 weeks to confirm closing your account, almost as if they want you to act on an impulse during that time and post again until eventually u are back full time.
i worry all our experiences might be used for some research or marketing plot, like when there were ads for supplements that improve negative symptoms
They probably want to avoid the opposite, which would be people impulsively deleting their account and then regretting it. Just my opinion
I am really struggling right now…I wish I had a therapist…
I think it is cos people usually come back.
And it is probably effort for admin to constantly deal with anonymising and then re introducing peeps.
All Hotel California lyrics aside, yeah, in the forum instructions for anonymizing your account they say pretty much what @anon2818416 just said. That people were often regretting anonymizing their account and wanting back in. So they started requiring people to wait 2 weeks to make sure that they were sure.
the forum mods have been nice to me…writing has always helped me cope and being able to have feedback has helped a ton…I feel less stuck…
Exactly as @Bowens said.
People decide they want to delete their account suddenly, then an hour later make a new account. Over and over. So the 2 week wait was instituted.
Sometimes if @SzAdmin is on and sees a request he will do it right away. So, if you want to anonymize your account, just say the word. He may pop in and take care of it if you’re very sure and in a rush.
i dont want to anonymize mine at the moment i just find the 2 week wait kind of weird
Yea I prefer one week. Two weeks is ages
And Mae you are guilty of the leaving and coming back. In under 2 weeks.
So 2 weeks is perfect.
If there’s a rule someone will be against it.
Somehow i expected 7nick7 to be the author of this
