There’s an app for that

There’s several free EMDR apps and no research on prolonged consistent use of treatment in persistent psychotic disorders. There may be gains to be made here.

I think they both aim to create some space between the memory or perception and our responses to them. But the way you practice each is very different I think. Incorporating cbt into day to day thinking is in my experience pretty damn argues. The diligence it requires is exhausting. Whereas emdr is a session thing. Don’t get me wrong done right emdr is exhausting too but you don’t have to develop a habit. Which I suck at.

A session with Headspace a day, keeps the group therapy away.

Throw in some Lumosity for safe keeping.

I heard a radio show today that was talking of the development of Anti suicide apps that could make a difference. Not sure how it works but they are doing some good work on walking through scenarios that help when people are on the edge…They could make a big difference especially in this world of total connection.
